FAQ’s

  1. How would you describe your style?

Our style is a blend of photojournalism and portrait photography that focuses on telling the story of your wedding day, what we call Editorial wedding photography. For an in-depth explanation please read our blog post on the subject.

  2. Do you shoot in color or black & white?

We shoot entirely in digital which produces a color image. We do absolutely love black & white photography however and we will make a selection from your images which we custom convert into black & white.

  3. Do you require a shot list? Will you work from one?

We do not require a shot list. We will work with one if provided but we prefer it list only the “must have” shots. We do not need a list to tell us to take a picture of the cake or of the bride & groom :)

  4. Who will be photographing our wedding?

Joel & Cora-lee photograph every wedding together. In the unlikely event that one of us will not be able to make it; a suitable replacement will be made.

  5. Are you both qualified photographers?

Yes we both have college backgrounds in Fine Arts, with a focus on photography.

  6. How long have you been photographing weddings?

Going on 11 years now. We have been there, done that, and still LOVE IT!

  7. Do you book multiple events per day / weekend?

We will only book 1 wedding per day, and generally only book 1 wedding per weekend. We want to provide the best possible service and won’t try and rush anything just to get to another event.

  8. Do you include digital negatives in your packages?

We include digital negatives in some of our packages. They may be purchased for any package that doesn’t include them. Feel free to contact us for our pricing information.

  9. What type of camera equipment do you use?

We use professional level Nikon Digital SLR cameras.

  10. What happens if the weather turns sour?

We have backup plans and can adapt to almost any situation. Of course if you are up for it we can and will shoot in pretty much any conditions.

  11. How many photographs will you take?

This will vary with every wedding as no two events are the same, but in general for a full day’s wedding we will present you with between 600-800 images.

  12. When will my proofs, prints, and wedding album be available?

Proofs are presented in an online gallery 3-5 weeks after the wedding. Any print orders will be fulfilled within 2-3 weeks of order placement. Albums generally take 2-3 months to be finished, we first present you with a digital proof album and once that is approved the lead time on getting the albums printed is 5-8 weeks.

  13. Do you travel and is there an additional fee?

Yes we are more than happy to travel! Outside of the Okanagan, travel is subject to an additional fee and may include accommodations.

  14. Are you booked for my wedding date?

Glad you asked! You can find out by using our contact form and we will get back to you promptly.

OH WOW!!! These are FANTASTIC! It will be hard to choose which ones to get enlarged!!
