This has to be our shortest notice ever to photograph a wedding. It was midnight the night before the wedding day and the lovely and talented Kristal Burgess needed help. It was a photographer's worst nightmare, injuring her arm the night before a wedding! So we packed up and headed out to Salmon Arm the next morning to help out.
The ceremony took place in a cleared patch of forest on the family's land which was cute but we should have paid attention to the bride & bridesmaids bug bombing each other beforehand, as the mosquitoes were quite fierce! For formals we headed across the road to the family homestead and then onto the beach where Cam had proposed.
It was just a great day up at the new Sparkling Hill Resort for Jared + Carolyn's wedding this past weekend. Even with the fresh haze from a forest fire dimming the sky, nothing could put a damper on the joy and spark of this wedding!
A very small and intimate wedding at Bertram Creek Regional Park. Thankfully the bad weather stayed away throughout the ceremony AND for the formals as well!
We photographed a wedding in Kamloops yesterday and it was spectacularly hot out, especially for a wedding inside a church with no air conditioning or even windows that opened! During the formals dark clouds started to roll in with dramatic bolts of sunlight striking down, making the grass fields just positively glow with a bright warm light.
